Greene Correctional Institution is a state prison that happens to be in Greene County. Greene County Booking Process
After arrest by the sheriff, a municipal police agency, state law enforcement, or another agency, a person may be taken to Greene County Detention Center and processed through intake. Contact a Greene County Inmate
The inmate mail policy is one of the strongest official sources for Greene County inmate records and communication. Non-legal mail is sent to a Greensboro processing center with the facility name, inmate name, inmate ID number, and Facility ID Number 5077. Mail that meets the rules is scanned, made available on an inmate tablet, and then the physical mail is destroyed. Do not mail cash, personal checks, money orders, books, magazines, packages, Polaroids, or originals of important documents to that processing center.
